The final generation of the New Yorker was released in May 1993 with the nearly identical Chrysler LHS as an early 1994 model, six months after the original LH cars, and it came standard with the 3.5 liter V6 producing 214 horsepower. Little separated the New Yorker from the LHS apart from chrome hood trim, body color cladding, chrome wheel covers, a column shifter and a front bench seat, in the traditional American luxury image Chrysler gave it.
