The final generation continued with front wheel drive on an elongated version of the new Chrysler LH platform, released in May 1993 beside the nearly identical Chrysler LHS as an early 1994 model, with a 3.5 liter V6 of 214 horsepower. Chrysler gave the New Yorker a more traditional American luxury image, with chrome hood trim, a column shifter and a front bench seat, and the LHS a more European one. It ended after a short 1996 run. Its model years run from 1994 to 1996.
