A redesigned Mark II was released in October 1992, called the X90 series. The 5M-E was discontinued after the 1992 model year, and the Cressida was cancelled in North America after 1992, its place taken by the Camry with its XLE V6 and later the Avalon. This was the first model year of the Toyota Mark II (seventh generation, X90), 1992 to 1995, which took over from the Toyota Mark II (sixth generation, X80); the 1993 model year follows it. Model year pages for the Toyota Mark II run from 1968 to 2004.
