The sixth generation Carina appeared in August 1992 and was available only as a four door sedan, while the five door van and wagon models were replaced by the new Caldina in March 1992. The Carina E went into production in the United Kingdom at the Burnaston plant on 16 December 1992. This was the first model year of the Toyota Carina (sixth generation, T190), 1992 to 1995, which took over from the Toyota Carina (fifth generation, T170); the 1993 model year follows it. Model year pages for the Toyota Carina run from 1970 to 2001.
