The European Courier van of 1992 was based on the Ford BE 2 platform that was also used by the Mark III and Mark IV Fiesta, the first Ka and the Puma. It was a small panel van with a two seat cargo version, and a glazed five seat passenger version called the Courier Kombi. The Courier was a Ford nameplate used on very different vehicles in different places and years, from sedan deliveries to pickups and vans. It began as a sedan delivery, became a Mazda built compact pickup, and later a Fiesta based van and coupe utility.
