A Ford Courier van derived from a B segment car was launched in Europe in June 1991, with a front engine, front wheel drive layout and a 1.3 litre petrol or a 1.8 litre diesel. The Ford Raider sport utility, based on the Courier pickup, was also sold from 1991 to 1997. It began as a sedan delivery, became a Mazda built compact pickup, and later a Fiesta based van and coupe utility. The Courier was a Ford nameplate used on very different vehicles in different places and years, from sedan deliveries to pickups and vans.
