In Japan the pickups were not sold for a few years, making their return as the Strada in Japan in March 1991. The engine was made standard fitment on all two wheel drive Mighty Maxes for the 1991 model year, while four wheel drives all received the recently introduced 3 liter V6 engine in the United States. In the United States Mitsubishi marketed it as the Mitsubishi Mighty Max until 1996. The Triton is a mid-size pickup truck, also known as the Mitsubishi L200, produced by Mitsubishi Motors.
