The second generation Triton of 1992 was in its seventh year, sold as the Mighty Max in the United States, the Strada in Japan, the Triton in Australia and the L200 in most other markets. The second generation Mitsubishi truck was also produced in Thailand. The truck usually has a 68 horsepower 2.5 liter diesel or an 84 PS turbo diesel engine. In the United States Mitsubishi marketed it as the Mitsubishi Mighty Max until 1996.
