The Debonair received light cosmetic changes in May 1991. The Debonair of 1991 was in its sixth and last full year of the second generation, a front wheel drive executive sedan with the Cyclone V6 engines, shorter and narrower with the 2.0 liter engine to comply with the Japanese government dimension regulations. The word debonair means gentle, courteous, suave, lighthearted or nonchalant. The trunk was designed so that two sets of golf clubs could be carried.
