Production of the regular two door E30 saloons ended on 30 April 1991 at Regensburg, and production of the United States models ended in 1991. BMW South Africa also introduced the 325iS Evolution HP, known as the Evo 2, answering an upgraded Opel Kadett, and it went on to win the 1993 Group N Class A title. The convertible and estate stayed in production. The four door saloon and the convertible were still available to order.
