The 1986 Fifth Avenue gained a new style ignition key and the federally mandated center high mounted stop lamp, and models with two tone paint had lower roof lines. Sales remained very strong, with 104,744 built according to the production table, and the Fifth Avenue stood out in a K car dominated Chrysler lineup as the lone concession to traditional rear wheel drive American sedans, far outselling its Dodge and Plymouth siblings.
