The 1985 Fifth Avenue received a revised 5.2 liter V8 with a roller camshaft, swirl port heads and a Holley carburetor in place of the Carter, raising output from 130 to 140 horsepower and torque to 265 pound feet. A new black gearshift knob and turn signal lever were introduced. Production was 109,971, the year the model first topped one hundred thousand, as sales took off for the largest Chrysler available.
