For 1984 the car was simply called the Fifth Avenue, a name that would continue for six successful years, and every Fifth Avenue from 1984 to 1989 had a 318 cubic inch V8 with the three speed Torqueflite automatic. The New Yorker badge on the trunk lid gave way to a Fifth Avenue badge, a crystal Pentastar was used, and production was moved from Windsor, Ontario to St. Louis, Missouri. A total of 79,441 were made.
