1984 was the last full year of the Mark II Granada, which was built until April 1985 and replaced by the third generation, essentially a rebadged Scorpio. Over its life the Mark II had been a reskin of the 1972 car, with a facelift in September 1981, and was still assembled from kits in Korea by Hyundai, where it sold until 1986, and had been sold in a number of body styles including saloon, estate and, from autumn 1982, an estate with elongated rear doors called the Windsor.
