1984 BMW 7 Series

Automobiles

In the United States 1984 saw the arrival of an optional four speed automatic transmission replacing the previous three speed, along with wood trim in place of plastic above the glove compartment and on the ashtray, and electrically adjustable power seats. The E23 therefore became better equipped for the American luxury market during this year. The E23 was in its second year of the facelift in 1984, and was still BMW's top saloon.
