1983 BMW 7 Series

Automobiles

The 1983 model year facelift gave the E23 wider and more angular kidney grilles, a valance spoiler and new bumper bars. In 1983 a turbocharged six cylinder engine became available in some markets, and BMW South Africa started a production run of 192 special 745i cars built from 1983 to 1987, most with automatic gearboxes. The facelift cars had gone into production in September 1982 and were available in 1983 in markets including the United States and Japan.
