The Wagoneer remained a line of three models in 1982, the Custom, the Brougham and the Limited, and production increased to 18,709 in 1982. The Wagoneer continued to sell relatively well in comparison to luxurious station wagons offered by Ford, Chrysler and GM. The 1982 Wagoneer was built at the Stickney Plant in Toledo, Ohio, by American Motors, and powered by the AMC V8 or the 258 cubic inch inline six.
