1982 Dodge Challenger

Automobiles

The 1982 Challenger was the second year of the redesigned Mitsubishi coupe, sold by Dodge alongside the Plymouth Sapporo. Nothing stands out about the model year, and the car stayed on the market until its replacement was ready for 1984. The 2.6 liter four cylinder, which used balance shafts to damp vibration, was the larger engine in the range. Dodge sold the car as a captive import, the Plymouth Sapporo was its twin, and Mitsubishi sold it elsewhere as the Sapporo or Scorpion.
