The Mark II received a mild facelift and attention to noise, vibration and harshness in 1981, and in September the range had a bigger facelift with larger wraparound bumpers, a three bar body coloured grille, a revised dashboard, restyled taillights and redesigned seats that improved comfort. The new taillights of the saloon were of similar design to those of the XD Falcon built by Ford Australia.
