The 1980 Colony Park continued the Panther platform sixth generation in the Grand Marquis line, with eight passenger seating as standard equipment and V8 power from the 302 Windsor, with the 351 Windsor as an option. In the interest of fuel economy, the 400 and 460 V8 engines had been removed from all Ford cars, and the wagon carried simulated woodgrain trim. The Colony Park was a Panther platform wagon and the flagship station wagon series of Ford Motor Company.
