For 1976 the Road Runner name was moved to the two door Volare, which had replaced the compact Valiant and Duster, and became mainly a trim and graphics package. The 318 V8 was standard and a 360 was offered as an option with a two barrel carburetor and a single exhaust, rated at 160 horsepower and paired only with the three speed automatic. Suspension parts were borrowed from the police packages.
