1976 was the Torino's final year and so the last year of the sixth generation Ranchero, which had remained basically the same since the 1973 front end redesign for federal impact standards. It was sold in three models, the 500, the Squire and the GT. The 1977 Ranchero was restyled in line with the LTD II that replaced the Torino. It was the end of the Torino based Ranchero, which had been produced since 1972 in a larger form.
