A catalytic converter was added to the exhaust of every United States market General Motors passenger car for 1975, including the Camaro, along with High Energy electronic ignition. The Z28 option was dropped despite sales above 13,000 in 1974, and a wraparound rear window was new, but sales held steady at 145,770. Power ratings were now measured with all accessories and emissions equipment in place, and maintenance intervals were extended as part of the advertised Efficiency System.
