A 1974 adjustment was made to the old van of the Minicab, the air cooled T30V with its 26 PS ME24E engine, to fit the larger license plates that were required, with no other change. The Minicab of 1974 was in its fourth year as the second generation, with the truck and the panel box van, the latter with the water cooled engine, and the T30V which stayed until 1976. The Minicab was sold in Japan at a specific retail chain called Galant Shop.
