The grille of the Minicab was altered and the headlights enlarged in September 1973, with the W replaced by a Minicab script on the front. The Minicab of 1973 was in its third year as the second generation, a cabover truck and panel van with the water cooled 2G10 engine, of 28 PS, in the T131 form, still on sale as a kei commercial vehicle. The Minicab was sold in Japan at a specific retail chain called Galant Shop. Ride quality was improved with the adoption of a front wishbone and rear leaf spring suspension.
