The badging of the Courier changed several times, and from the 1974 model year the tailgate carried FORD in large letters with a small Courier badge. Its body was that of the Mazda B series, with a front grille styled to look like the larger F Series, and big single headlights. The Courier was a Ford nameplate used on very different vehicles in different places and years, from sedan deliveries to pickups and vans. It began as a sedan delivery, became a Mazda built compact pickup, and later a Fiesta based van and coupe utility.
