For the 1973 model year the two door Satellites received a more conventional front end design, with squared up sheet metal and rear side windows. The four door sedans and wagons kept the separate styling they had carried since 1971. The squared up two door body of 1973 and the safety bumpers of 1974 marked the end of the generation, and in 1973 the sedans and wagons kept their fuselage bodies while the two door cars took the new squared sheet metal.
