1972 Classic Mini

Automobiles

In 1972 the Mark III Mini was in its fourth year as a marque of its own under British Leyland, a two door four seat small car with rubber cone suspension and winding windows, produced at Longbridge in Birmingham. The Mini had by this year outlasted the larger small cars that Ford and others had launched to compete with it, and it was still among the best selling cars in Britain. The Mini remained cheap to buy and run, which kept it selling well.
