The Coronet and the similar Plymouth Belvedere received complete redesigns in 1968, as did the Dodge Charger, which shared the B body platform. Trim levels included the base Coronet, the Deluxe, the 440, the 500 and the R/T, plus the Super Bee. The Coronet 440 convertible was dropped for 1968, but a two door coupe was added. The R/T and the Super Bee were the performance models of the range, with the 440 available only in the R/T, and two 1968 Coronet 440s are known to have been built with the Hemi, which was supposed to be limited to the R/T and Super Bee.
