1968 Chrysler New Yorker

Automobiles

Styling changes for 1968 included a new grille, bumpers, front sheet metal, rear fenders and rear deck, with the New Yorker keeping the 1965 roofline while the Newport and 300 four door hardtops received a sportier new roof. A full width rectangular patterned grille, repeated at the rear by full width deck trim, and continuous lower body side molding marked the New Yorker. Chrysler production set a record with 264,863 cars, and 48,143 were New Yorkers.
