The 1967 Charger received minor changes, chiefly turn signal indicators on top of the fenders that distinguish it from the 1966 car, an available vinyl roof and the loss of the full length console. The 440 Magnum was added and the 383 replaced the 361. Sales dropped to 15,788, half of the previous introductory half year. The Charger was positioned as a luxurious fastback hardtop aimed at the segment that included the Oldsmobile Toronado and Ford Thunderbird rather than as a muscle car.
