The Belvedere line was restyled in 1966, with the Belvedere I, Belvedere II and Satellite subseries continuing, the Satellite hardtop coupe and convertible having a 273 cubic inch LA block V8 as standard equipment. The full size Fury had been restored as a separate line beside it the year before, so the Belvedere now served as the mid size car, with engines ranging from a six cylinder up to V8 power.
