The 1966 model was the second year of the revised frame and Twin I-Beam suspension. With the 208 horsepower 352 cubic inch FE V8, output surpassed 200 horsepower in the F-Series for the first time. The 240 and 300 straight sixes were available. The first Mexican built Ford truck from the Cuautitlan plant was the 1965, and the F-100, F-350 and F-600 were assembled there in 1965 and 1966. The turn signals sat above the headlights.
