For 1966 Chevrolet was in the second season of a totally new body change, so mild facelifting sufficed for the Bel Air, including forward thrusting, blunted front fenders and a revised grille. The sixth generation car kept the lengthened body of 1965. Four door sedans and station wagons shared a wheelbase of 119 inches, while two door models were similar in overall design, and the GM B platform continued to underpin the whole full size range.
