The Kadett B was launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in late summer 1965, larger all round than the Kadett A, five percent longer both overall and in terms of the wheelbase, seven percent wider and nine percent heavier unladen. It was a small family car for Opel's Bochum plant era, with a coupe body still in the range, as there would be until 1979. The 1965 Kadett B came after the Frankfurt show of 1965, a bigger car than the Kadett A.
