1965 Chrysler New Yorker

Automobiles

All 1965 Chryslers were built on a new C body unibody platform, and Elwood Engel designed the New Yorker with styling cues from his 1961 Lincoln Continental, slab sides with chrome along the fender tops. The standard engine was a 340 horsepower 413 V8 with the three speed TorqueFlite automatic, and the New Yorker was offered as a four door sedan, two and four door hardtops and a Town and Country wagon. New Yorker output of 49,871 was a 62 percent increase over 1964.
