In 1963 Toyota added a new Deluxe trim level to the Publica, denoted internally as type UP10D, which featured luxuries such as reclining seats, a heater, a radio and some chrome decor. The now defunct Central Motors produced the Publica convertible from October 1963. It was model year 3 of 4 in the Toyota Publica (first series, P10), 1961 to 1965, coming after the 1962 model year and before the 1964 model year.
