1961 Ford Anglia

Automobiles

An estate car joined the saloon in the Anglia line up in September 1961, replacing the Escort and Squire of the 100E. The Anglia 105E based Thames 307E vans of 5 and 7 long hundredweight were first released in June 1961, fitted with the 997 cc engine from the Anglia 105E and sharing front body panels with the saloon. The old 100E Anglia became the new 100E Popular. It had a four speed manual gearbox and independent front suspension.
