The 1960 Impala models brought back three round taillights on each side, in place of the teardrop lamps of 1959, and added a white band running along the rear fenders. Right hand drive cars for export had a dashboard that was a mirror image of the 1959 Chevrolet panel and was shared with equivalent right hand drive Pontiac models. It was the second and last year of the generation that used the X frame chassis introduced in 1959, and it was followed by the boxier cars of 1961.
