In June 1959, to avoid confusion with the RK85 Dyna, the truck was renamed the Toyopet Stout in a naming competition participated in by Toyota and sales channel employees. It was the last model year covered for the Toyota Stout (first generation, K20 and K30), 1956 to 1959, and the Toyota Stout (second generation, K40 and K100) came next, following the 1958 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Stout run from 1956 to 2000.
