The fourth Anglia model, the 105E, was introduced in 1959 with American influenced styling including a sweeping nose line, muted tailfins, and on Deluxe versions a full width slanted chrome grille between prominent eye headlamps. It was complemented by a new 997 cc overhead valve engine of 39 horsepower, the Kent engine, and a four speed manual gearbox with synchromesh on the top three gears. The 100E ceased production in 1959 with 345,841 built.
