The Wolseley 1500 was released in April 1957, with the similar Riley One-Point-Five launched in November. The Wolseley used the Morris Minor floor pan, suspension and steering but was fitted with the larger 1,489 cc B-Series engine and the MG Magnette gearbox. The two models were differentiated by nearly 20 hp, the Wolseley producing less power than the twin carburettor Riley. It was released in April.
