The 1957 Colony Park was the first year of the model, a four door hardtop wagon styled with simulated mahogany paneling and maple trim, like the Monterey wagon before it. It was fitted with a 290 horsepower, 368 cubic inch Lincoln Y block V8 shared with the Turnpike Cruiser. It was listed at 3,677 dollars and 7,386 were manufactured. Among the first wagons to offer a tailgate with a retractable rear window, it served as the flagship of the line.
