A De Luxe version of the Consul Mark II with contrasting roof colour and a higher equipment specification was added in 1957. The convertible version made by Carbodies continued. One thing not updated from the original was the windscreen wipers, which were still vacuum operated. The Consul was the four cylinder car of the Three Graces with the Zephyr and Zodiac. The Consul Mark II was the four cylinder car in the Zephyr range and shared its body shell with the Zephyr and Zodiac.
