The 1957 Adventurer received Chrysler's Forward Look styling and debuted as a hardtop in December 1956, with a convertible following in February 1957, both still limited to the black, white and gold theme. The writer Tom McCahill called it the best styled of all Chrysler makes for 1957. Its high output V8 grew to 345 horsepower with dual four barrel carburetors, one horsepower per cubic inch, and 1,950 were produced, 300 of them convertibles.
