The Courier name was first used in 1952 on the sedan delivery body of the full size Ford. It shared its body with the two door Ford station wagon and was meant mainly as a commercial vehicle, with storage in place of the rear seat. A similar panel delivery was sold on the F Series pickup. The Courier was a Ford nameplate used on very different vehicles in different places and years, from sedan deliveries to pickups and vans.
