The 1952 Coronet was the last year of the first postwar generation, carried over virtually unchanged from 1951 because Dodge was busy manufacturing military vehicles for the Korean War and did not redesign its civilian cars. It was the last year of the Coronet in its first generation, with the Wayfarer and Meadowbrook below it and the 230 cubic inch flat head six as the only engine offered. The next Coronet was a totally new car.
