1942 Ford Taunus

Automobiles

Production of the Taunus was halted in 1942 because of the war, after only 7,128 pre war cars, among them estate cars and light vans, had been made since 1939. The G93A would not be built again until the British occupation ended and Ford restarted German production in 1948. The Taunus was the family car of Ford Germany, sold under the 12M, 15M, 17M, 20M and 26M names over several generations. It was named after the Taunus mountain range in Germany and was often a close relative of a British Ford.
