For the 1941 model year, the Continental shared largely the same body design with its 1940 and 1942 siblings, but push button door catch releases displaced the previous lever type handles. The Continental received minimal updates from year to year across 1940 to 1942. It was a luxury coupe and cabriolet on the Lincoln-Zephyr based chassis, still very low volume, built by Ford's Lincoln division. The same body design stayed in use through 1942.
