1936 DeSoto Airflow

Automobiles

The DeSoto Airflow was discontinued in 1936, when Chrysler chose to focus on the DeSoto Airstream so as to offer more traditional designs and the higher sales that they brought the division, although the Chrysler Airflow body continued through 1937. In May 1936 the Airflow was still promoted in some 435 newspapers across the United States, and advertising showed an empty Airflow pushed off a cliff to answer rumors that it was unsafe.
